The NIA Work Placement Process

STEP 1: Language Training (A1–B2)

Complete German language training at Nia. Obtain B2 certification through Be Ubuntu (German Embassy recognised). Healthcare professionals also complete Fachsprachprüfung (FSP) preparation.

STEP 2: Anerkennung (Qualification Recognition)

Begin document recognition process from A2 level. Nia assists with KMK/ZAB comparability statements, state-level recognition applications and document
translation.

STEP 3: CV & Application Preparation

Professional German CV (Lebenslauf) preparation, motivation letter writing, interview coaching and job application support via our German partner network.

STEP 4: Employer Matching

Nia connects qualified students with German employers through our network including healthcare facilities, engineering firms and Ausbildung companies. Our Meine Zukunft Munich partnership provides direct employer access.

STEP 5: Visa Support

Guidance on employment visa (§ 18 AufenthG), Recognition Partnership Visa, and Chancenkarte (Opportunity Card). Support with German Embassy application in Kampala.

STEP 6: Pre-Departure & Arrival Support

Cultural orientation, Anmeldung (registration) guidance, blocked account setup, health insurance and integration support through our Berlin office.
