The A1 level marks the beginning of your German language journey. This course is designed for complete beginners with little or no previous knowledge of German. You will learn the foundations of the German language, enabling you to communicate in simple everyday situations. By the end of this course, you will be able to introduce yourself, ask basic questions, and handle simple interactions in German-speaking environments.

Student Capabilities
at This Level
Hören (Listening): Recognize familiar words and basic phrases about yourself, family, and surroundings when spoken slowly and clearly. Lesen (Reading): Understand familiar names, words, and simple sentences on notices, posters, and catalogues. Sprechen (Speaking): Interact in simple ways, ask and answer basic questions on familiar topics, and describe where you live and people you know. Schreiben (Writing): Write short postcards, simple messages, and fill in forms with personal details.

Examinations
At Nia Sprachenakademie, we offer two types of examinations to validate your German language proficiency:
Nia Internal Exams: Conducted at the end of each course level to assess your progress and readiness to advance. These exams follow CEFR standards and provide immediate feedback on your language skills.
Evo Language Exams (International): Internationally recognized certification exams conducted by Evo Language Schools. These certificates are widely accepted for visa applications, university admissions, and professional recognition (Anerkennung) in Germany.
